BONDTITE EDGE D3 is a premium woodworking adhesive specially designed with cross-linked polymer technology for excellent moisture and water resistance. It conforms to requirements of European (EN) 204-D3 Standards. It is designed for laminate pasting in furniture industry through hot press, cold press and several other applications. It is specially developed for the furniture of areas like kitchens, bathrooms, etc. which is affected by moisture/water.
It is suitable for bonding wood-to-wood in joineries, plywood-laminate bonding in mechanized units. Suitable for application of furniture exposed to high moisture areas.
Step 1 : The surfaces to be bonded should be free from dust, oil and grease. They should be dry and properly levelled.
Step 2 : Stir contents of the container before use. It is ready to use product so dilution is not recommended.
Step 3 : Apply an even coat of Bondtite Edge D3 first on comparatively non-porous surfaces and then on porous surfaces, for e.g. apply first on laminate and then on Plywood.
Step 4 : For plywood to laminate: Before allowing adhesive to dry, bring both surfaces in contact, align properly and start pressing from one end to another end by using wet cloth. This ensures uniform contact to avoid bubbles. For Wood To Wood: Before allowing adhesive to dry, bring both the surfaces in contact and align properly. To get best results keep them pressed for 24 hours.
Step 5 : Press the two surfaces together and keep under pressure with the help of either a clamp, nails, wooden support etc., till the adhesive dries completely.
Step 6 : Excess adhesive pressed outside the joints should be wiped out with a wet cloth.
Step 7 : Pressure can be applied by using nails, clamps, weight, Resitape, Cold Press, Hot Press, Roller Press, etc.
Step 8 : Excess adhesive pressed outside the joints should be wiped out with a wet cloth.
