SOLVOBOND PVC 501 is a regular-bodied PVC solvent cement suitable for PVC pipes and fittings upto 2” diameter. It is also suitable for electrical conduit pipe.
Suitable for borewell fittings, joining electrical conduit, drainage, agricultures and in irrigation piping
Step 1 : Cut the pipe
Step 2 : Remove burr, roughen and clean the outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket
Step 3 : Check the dry fit of pipe & fitting. It should go up to end of the fitting easily.
Step 4 : Apply one coat of Solvobond PVC 501 evenly using suitable applicator on outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket. Again apply second coat on pipe.
Step 5 : Twist the pipe 45°-90° while inserting into the socket for better spreading of Solvobond PVC 501 and hold for 30 sec.
Step 6 : Do not move joint for 10 minutes
Step 7 : Partially emptied container should be close immediately.

Clean and roughen the pipe and socket surfaces, check the dry fit, apply two coats of Solvobond PVC 501 evenly, then twist the pipe 45-90 degrees into the socket and hold for 30 seconds.
Solvobond PVC 501 PVC Pipe Glue requires the joint to be held for about 30 seconds, with a shelf life of 2 years for tin containers and 4 years for Coex packs from the date of manufacture.

Solvobond PVC 501 PVC Pipe Glue is designed for low-pressure, cold-water and drainage systems and is not intended for hot water pipelines.
Solvobond PVC 501 PVC Pipe Glue is formulated for PVC pipework, so it should not be used on CPVC or uPVC pipes, which require their own specific solvent cements.
Avoid using PVC cement on CPVC or uPVC pipes, skipping the dry-fit check, or disturbing the joint before it has set.

Store Solvobond PVC 501 PVC Pipe Glue in a dry place in its original, properly closed container at storage temperatures between 2-40°C.
