Solvobond PVC 503 is a medium-bodied PVC solvent cement used for joining and repairing PVC pipes and fittings.

It bonds PVC pipes and fittings used in borewell, drainage, agriculture and irrigation piping systems.

Roughen and clean the pipe and socket, apply two coats of Solvobond PVC 503, twist the pipe 45-90° while inserting, and hold for 30 seconds.

Do not move the joint for 10 minutes after application to allow the solvent cement to set properly.

Common applications include borewell fittings, electrical conduit joining, drainage, agriculture and irrigation piping.

Solvobond PVC 503 has high burst strength and meets ASTM D 2564 standards; specific heat-resistance figures are not listed.

Avoid using Solvobond PVC 503 on pipes or fittings other than PVC, as it is formulated specifically for PVC bonding.

Common mistakes include applying only a single coat instead of two, and moving the joint before the 10-minute set time.

Solvobond PVC 503 is a low-VOC, high-coverage solvent cement with high-pressure resistance that conforms to IS 14182 standards.

Store Solvobond PVC 503 in a dry place in its original, properly closed container at 2-40°C, and reseal partially used containers immediately.
