Excellent solvent cement for bonding irrigation, electrical conduit and plumbing PVC pipe joints
Step 1 : Cut the pipe
Step 2 : Remove burr, roughen and clean the outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket
Step 3 : Check the dry fit of pipe & fitting. It should go up to end of the fitting easily. Use Solvobond primer if require
Step 4 : Apply first coat of Solvobond uPVC 606 evenly using suitable applicator on outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket. Apply second coat on pipe till socket depth
Step 5 : Twist the pipe 45°-90° while inserting into the socket for better spreading of Solvobond uPVC 606 and hold for 30 sec.
Step 6 : Wipe off excess cement and leave the surface untouched for one hour for perfect bonding
Step 7 : Partially emptied container should be close immediately..
Step 8 : Allow 5 min to get good handling strength. 30 min for strength upto 160 psi interference fit upto 2” For pipe size 2” or larger, temperature below 15°C & higher pressure longer cure time is require.
High solid content
Low VOC
Meets ASTM D 2564 Standards
Solvobond UPVC 606 uPVC Solvent Cement is a fast-setting, medium-bodied solvent cement used for joining uPVC pipes and fittings in low-pressure and drainage systems.
Solvobond UPVC 606 uPVC Solvent Cement is used on uPVC pipes carrying potable water as well as PVC, Acrylic and ABS materials.
Cut the pipe, roughen and clean the pipe and socket surfaces, apply the cement evenly, then twist the pipe 45-90 degrees into the socket and hold for 30 seconds before wiping off excess cement.
Allow 5 minutes for good handling strength and 30 minutes for strength up to 160 psi on interference fits up to 2 inches; larger pipes, lower temperatures or higher pressure require a longer cure time.
Solvobond UPVC 606 uPVC Solvent Cement is commonly used for industrial, irrigation, electrical conduit and domestic plumbing pipe assemblies, as well as agriculture pipeline and boring applications.
Solvobond UPVC 606 uPVC Solvent Cement is designed for cold-water plumbing and meets ASTM D-2564 and IS:14182-1994 standards for joint strength.
Solvobond UPVC 606 uPVC Solvent Cement is formulated specifically for uPVC, PVC, Acrylic and ABS pipework and should not be used on CPVC pipes designed for hot water systems.
Avoid skipping the dry-fit check, working at temperatures below 15°C without adjusting cure time, or disturbing the joint before the recommended handling strength is reached.
Solvobond UPVC 606 uPVC Solvent Cement is a fast-setting, low-VOC, medium-bodied formula that meets ASTM and IS standards for uPVC joints, delivering performance ordinary adhesives cannot match.
Store Solvobond UPVC 606 uPVC Solvent Cement in a dry place in its original, properly closed container at temperatures between 2-40°C.
Shelf Life: 18 months from the date of manufacturing.
Storage: Product should be stored in a dry place in their original, properly closed containers.
