SOLVOBOND CPVC 707 is yellow coloured medium-bodied CPVC solvent cement for joining CPVC pipes & fittings. It is recommended for potable water piping as well as pressurized pipes. It can withstand temperature upto 82°C. It can be used without primer.
MEETS: ASTM D-2846 & F-493 Standards.
Cut the pipe
Remove burr, roughen and clean the outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket
Check the dry fit of pipe & fitting. It should go up to end of the fitting easily.
Apply Solvobond CPVC 707 evenly using suitable applicator on outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket.
Twist the pipe 45°-90° while inserting into the socket for better spreading of Solvobond CPVC 707 and hold for 30 sec.
Wipe off excess cement.
Partially emptied container should be close immediately.
Allow 2 min to get good handling strength. 1 hr for cold water system upto 160 psi, 6 hr for hot water system upto 100 psi @82°C. For pipe size 1.5” (50 mm) or larger, higher temperature & pressure longer cure time is require.
