SOLVOBOND PVC 501

SOLVOBOND PVC 501 is regular bodied PVC solvent cement for PVC pipes & fittings upto 6” diameter. It is suitable for conduit & low-pressure and drainage systems

 

MEETS: ASTM D-2564 Standard.

Usage

 

  • PVC pipes and fitting for low pressure and drainage. Assembly recommended at temperature above 5°C. Allowable gap: 0.3 mm. interference: 0.2 mm
  • Borewell fittings

How to use
How to use
  • Cut the pipe

  • Remove burr, roughen and clean the outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket

  • Check the dry fit of pipe & fitting. It should go up to end of the fitting easily.

  • Apply one coat of Solvobond PVC 501 evenly using suitable applicator on outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket. Again apply second coat on pipe.

  • Twist the pipe 45°-90° while inserting into the socket for better spreading of Solvobond PVC 501 and hold for 30 sec.

  • Do not move joint for 10 minutes

  • Partially emptied container should be close immediately.

     

    NO PRESSURE TEST FOR

     

    • 24 hrs on < 63 mm pipe
    • 48 hrs on 75-160 mm pipe

Product should be stored in a dry place in their original, properly closed containers at temperature between 2-40°C. Partially emptied container should be closed immediately.
