Solvobond uPVC 606 is fast setting solvent cement for joining uPVC pipes & fittings for low pressure and drainage system. It can be used for uPVC pipes transporting potable water as well as for materials like PVC, Acrylic & ABS.
MEETS: ASTM D-2564 & IS: 14182-1994 Standards.
Cut the pipe
Remove burr, roughen and clean the outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket
Check the dry fit of pipe & fitting. It should go up to end of the fitting easily. Use Solvobond primer if require
Apply first coat of Solvobond uPVC 606 evenly using suitable applicator on outer surface of the pipe and inner surface of the socket. Apply second coat on pipe till socket depth
Twist the pipe 45°-90° while inserting into the socket for better spreading of Solvobond uPVC 606 and hold for 30 sec.
Wipe off excess cement and leave the surface untouched for one hour for perfect bonding
Partially emptied container should be close immediately..
Allow 5 min to get good handling strength. 30 min for strength upto 160 psi interference fit upto 2” For pipe size 2” or larger, temperature below 15°C & higher pressure longer cure time is require.
