BONDCAST 137A/138B is a two-component, modified thixotropic epoxy adhesive system designed specially for bonding metal to various substrates like glass, metal, ceramic, wood, asbestos and more.
Suitable for coil coating, circuit sealing, potting, thrust bearing manufacturing, metal to wood bonding
Step 1 : The adherents must be thoroughly degreased with a good degreasing solvent (e.g. toluene, acetone trichloroethylene) and abraded with coarse emery paper or chemically etched. Inadequately pre-treated substrates may not bond satisfactorily.
Step : The resin/hardener mix is applied with a spatula, to the pretreated and dry joint surfaces. A layer of adhesive 0.05 to 0.10 mm thick will normally impart the greatest lap shear strength to the joint. The joint components should be assembled and clamped as soon as the adhesive has been applied. An even contact pressure throughout the joint area will ensure optimum cure.
Good electrical and mechanical properties
Excellent heat resistance
High bond strength
Thixotropic nature
Storage : Product should be stored in a dry place in their original, properly closed containers at temperature between 2-40°C. Partially emptied container should be closed immediately.
Shelf Life : "2 year from date of mfg. for both Part A and Part B (Storage Temp - 2-40 °C)"
